THE GIFT OF LIFE

Sometimes it seems as if I'm alone in the universe. Is there anything special about my life?

God's Response

The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man's nostrils, and the man became a living person.

Genesis 2:7



The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

Job 33:4



Our Takeaway

The body is a lifeless shell until God brings it alive with His "breath of life." When God removes His life-giving breath, our bodies once again return to dust. Therefore, our lives and our worth come from God. Many people boast of their achievements and abilities as if those strengths originated with them. Others feel worthless because their abilities do not stand out. But our worth doesn't come from our achievements; it comes from the God of the universe, who chooses to give us the mysterious and miraculous gift of life.



God's Promise

When you give them Your breath, life is created, and You renew the face of the earth. May the glory of the Lord continued forever! The Lord takes pleasure in all He has made!
